Shipping & Delivery Policy
How and when your FileCaveat documents are delivered.
1. Digital-First Delivery
FileCaveat is a digital legal services platform. All primary documents — including petition drafts, final signed petitions, and court-filing confirmations — are delivered electronically to your secure client dashboard. There is no physical product shipped to the client.
2. DIY Plan (₹2,000) — Digital Delivery
Under the DIY plan, the following documents are made available for instant download from your client dashboard immediately upon successful payment confirmation:
- AI-generated Caveat Petition draft (PDF format)
- AI-generated Caveat Petition draft (DOCX format, editable)
These documents are generated automatically by our AI system once payment is confirmed. Download links are available from your dashboard under My Documents. There is no waiting period — documents are typically available within minutes of payment.
Note: Under the DIY plan, the documents are not reviewed by our advocates prior to delivery. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and filing the petition in the appropriate court.
3. Full Service Plan (₹5,000) — Progressive Digital Delivery
Under the Full Service plan, documents are delivered progressively to your dashboard as each stage of processing is completed:
Stage 1 — Draft Ready
Within 1–2 business days of submission
The advocate-reviewed draft Caveat Petition is made available for your review. You will receive an email and in-app notification.
Stage 2 — Payment Confirmation
Immediately upon payment
A payment receipt and invoice are generated and available in your dashboard.
Stage 3 — Court Filing Confirmation
Within 1–3 business days of payment (depending on court sitting days)
Your dashboard is updated with the diary number, filing date, and the 90-day expiry date. A scanned copy of the filed petition is uploaded where available.
Stage 4 — Final PDF
Alongside or shortly after filing confirmation
The final signed Caveat Petition in PDF format is available for download from your dashboard.
4. Physical Dispatch to Expected Applicants
Under Section 148A(2) of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, a copy of the Caveat Petition must be served on the Expected Applicant. Under the Full Service plan, FileCaveat facilitates the dispatch of a physical copy of the filed caveat petition to the Expected Applicant by post or courier on the client's behalf.
- Dispatch is made to the address of the Expected Applicant provided in your application.
- Tracking details (courier AWB number or postal reference) will be updated in your dashboard once dispatch is completed.
- Delivery timelines depend on the courier/postal service and the destination address.
Physical dispatch to the Expected Applicant is a legal requirement and is included in the Full Service plan fee. No additional charges apply. Physical documents are not dispatched to the client.
5. Delivery Issues
If you are unable to access or download your documents from the dashboard due to a technical issue on our platform, please contact us at sglawindia@gmail.com and we will resolve it promptly. Please include your Case ID (visible in your dashboard) in your email.
