FileCaveatProfessional Caveat Filing Service

Legal Disclaimer

Please read this disclaimer carefully before using FileCaveat.

1. Nature of This Platform

FileCaveat (operated by FileCaveat) is a digital service platform designed to facilitate the preparation and filing of Caveat Petitions under Section 148A of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. FileCaveat is a technology-assisted legal services platform, not a legal marketplace, aggregator, or directory.

Using this portal — including submitting an application form or making enquiries through the contact form — does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship between you and FileCaveat or any of its advocates.

2. Establishment of Advocate–Client Relationship

An advocate–client relationship is established only upon the execution of a valid Vakalatnama (power of attorney) by the client in favour of the advocate. The Vakalatnama is collected as part of the Full Service (₹5,000) plan during the petition review process. Until a Vakalatnama is duly executed, no advocate–client relationship exists, and no privilege attaches to communications made through this portal.

3. AI-Assisted Drafting

FileCaveat uses artificial intelligence tools to assist in the preparation of draft Caveat Petitions. These AI-generated drafts are not legal documents and do not constitute legal advice. Under the Full Service (₹5,000) plan, every AI-generated draft is reviewed, edited as necessary, and approved by an enrolled advocate before any document is finalised or filed in court. The advocate's professional judgment governs the final form of every petition filed.

Under the DIY (₹2,000) plan, the AI-generated draft is provided for informational and self-use purposes. The client assumes full responsibility for reviewing, editing, and filing the document. FileCaveat makes no representation regarding the suitability of any AI-generated draft for the client's specific legal situation.

4. No Guarantee of Outcome

FileCaveat and FileCaveat do not guarantee any particular legal outcome, result, or relief from any court or authority. The filing of a Caveat Petition is a procedural step; its effect depends on the conduct of the court, the actions of the expected applicant, and other factors entirely beyond our control. Nothing in this platform or in any communication from us should be construed as a guarantee, warranty, or assurance of any specific legal result.

5. General Information Only

The content published on this website — including blog posts, FAQs, guides, and explanatory material — is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Laws and procedures may differ across jurisdictions and may change over time. You should consult a qualified advocate for advice specific to your circumstances.

6. Bar Council Compliance

This platform operates in compliance with the Bar Council of India Rules on Standards of Professional Conduct and Etiquette. We do not advertise, solicit work, publish testimonials or client reviews, or make any claims of superiority or specialisation. All advocate information is purely factual.
